Environmental and Food Safety Policy


Quinta de Soalheiro is committed to meeting customers’ needs and statutory and regulatory requirements in the management of communication throughout the food chain and in coordination with the authorities. It is also committed to continuously improve the effectiveness of the Environmental and Food Safety Management System implemented in accordance with the NP EN ISO 22000 and NP EN 14000 standards.

Quinta de Soalheiro has the following basic commitments to Environmental and Food Safety:

  1. Complying with customers’ needs and statutory and regulatory requirements in the management of communication throughout the food chain and in coordination with the authorities, as well as food safety and environmental compliance obligations, and to continuously improve the effectiveness of the Environmental and Food Safety Management System implemented in accordance with the NP EN ISO 22000 and NP EN 14000 standards;
  2. Ensure that safe products are placed on the market from the point of view of food safety;
  3. Ensure the protection of the environment by the adequate environmental management of its activity, and whenever possible, positively interfering in upstream and downstream activities in the life cycle of its products;
  4. Placing safe products on the market with the continuous aim of improving their overall quality;
  5. Cooperation with suppliers for joint growth and better overall performance;
  6. The sustainable use of resources, in particular organic production;
  7. A commitment to continuous improvement of the management system in order to improve overall performance;
  8. Quinta de Soalheiro involves the entire "Soalheiro Team" in the continuous improvement of product quality and customer satisfaction, fostering a strategy of growth and confidence.
